Description
This painting was done for a client about quality control in manufacturing.
The commission made me think about "My Father's Hands" he had worked hard all his life, he had huge big strong hands, and powerful forearms.
I went to see him and to sketch his hands for this painting he had been retired for several years and his hands were not the same, they had become very weak and feeble.
So I had to paint them from memory. I still have many of his well worn tools including this hammer. This painting hangs above my desk. It is a constant reminder to me to never give up. Never retire. Never quit doing what you love. Never quit creating. Creating is what keeps the Creator alive.
