I created “Lost and Found,” in 1980 it was my first non commissioned painting I sold.
The scene captured in this piece holds a special place in my heart, marking a significant milestone in my artistic journey.
A rugged cowboy astride his horse, a beacon of resilience in the midst of a relentless whiteout. This stoic figure placed against a distant rocky mountain peaks, barely visible through the chaotic swirl of snow storm. He cradles a calf in front of him, a fragile life rescued from the unforgiving cold.
The blue and white hues in the painting, evoking the chilling cold of the storm that rages around them. Creating a sense of movement and turmoil, as if the blizzard itself is a living entity. You can almost feel the biting wind and hear the eerie howl of the storm as it engulfs the brave cowboy and his precious cargo.
