Description
The exhilaration of the rise, in a microsecond you set the hook, then the the rod tip surges violently downward, and in the same breath, the heavy fish streaks for the branches attached to the log. There is no doubt that if it managed to wrap the leader around the limbs, the battle is lost. Pulling line perilously tight the battle is on, with the trout first stripping, followed by you regaining line, and the rod tip raised, then you feel it turn heading your way. The tide of the battle has changed.
